Overview of today- penultimate hackathon day!
Hello everyone!
Five weekdays later, we now approach the penultimate hackathon day before submissions! Make sure to reach out to mentors ASAP to get all the help you need before submission time tomorrow morning. Don’t forget to post a few fun pictures on your project’s updates page!
Remember, the soft deadline for submissions on Devpost is tomorrow morning at 8am. By this time, please have some portion of your project ready on your Devpost page. The hard deadline, after which time hacking is officially over, is tomorrow morning at 10am.
To start off the day, join us over breakfast at 9:30am for a fun Meet & Greet Icebreaker game! This will be one of your last opportunities to get to know some of the other participants of the hackathon + our volunteers and mentors.
Later today, we have an exciting workshop by Zahin Hussain, a consultant for startups and social enterprises for the United Nations Development Programme. She works with entrepreneurs to identify growth opportunities while developing the ecosystem for entrepreneurship in developing countries. She will be giving a workshop on the work she has done that will hopefully allow you to similarly inspire local innovation through your project and actions. This half-hour workshop begins at 2:30pm.
Before this workshop, Mayrose will be giving a very exciting update on the prize pool. Stay tuned, but this is definitely not an announcement you'll want to miss...
